So how is summer coming along for everyone? Mine has been real busy and HOT. This is our third summer here in the desert and I don't think I will ever get used to this heat. Even the cactus need to be watered when it is this hot and dry!!
OK, I really do still make beads and I should have some more back up for sale pretty soon. Thank you for all the concerned e-mails wondering about me. I truly appreciate that you peeps care enough to wonder where I am at!!
We have been real busy with remodeling the house still. These last couple of weeks we have been doing small stuff in the kitchen. It seems like the list of stuff that we have to do to this house is longer than Santa Clauses!!

Hey everybody!! How is stuff shaking in your part of the world??? It is Spring here in the desert and the weather could not be better!! But, we are already expecting the heat to be in nineties this week-end and then the rest of next week we are suppose to go back down to the eighties. Life in the desert!!!
Here's a few pics from my cactus garden.
I expect to have some more beads for sale next week. I have been really busy creating a ton of special orders, some were quite huge!!! I am just about caught up and should be back to normal bead making next week. Whew!!!

Everyone that is on my e-mail list knows that I was running a "Vote for Joj-Gee Contest" for a set of fancy chocolate beads. Here is a pic of the winner's name and a pic of the bead set that was won by her. Congratulations Tanya!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Last Sunday was Joj-Gee's (our Yorkie fur baby) modeling contest for the Polished Pooch Modeling Contest. If you have been following my blog then you know that she finished first place in the second round. Well here was what happened on the big day. We (hubby, Joj-Gee and me) went down to the park where the wag-a-tail walk-a-thon was being held and the Polished Pooches modeling contest. There was a gazillion dogs and people there, like wow!! I would love to be able to say that Joj-Gee placed first in the judging contest, but she placed last, Eeeek!!! The “modeling runway” was held on the sidewalk/grass, just inches away from all the dogs and people and Joj-Gee freaked out and froze up. I had to pull and coax her to even walk a few steps. That cost us all our points!! Poor baby, had big time stage fright! This is the dog that is usually straining at her leash to sniff everything and everyone. But there is still a sunny side to this, Joj-Gee received a very cool pet “house” bed (the cat is trying to claim it for his own now). It has a pink roof and it is oh so soft. It was heavy and stuffed full of all kinds of things for Joj. From leashes and toys, goodies and books, to you name it, it was in there. AWESOME!!!! She also got a $50 gift certificate to Petco and a trophy. Plus we got all kinds of freebies from the sponsers! We really made out BIG time!! They also served a very delicous catered lunch! So all in all it was still a very good first experience for Joj-Gee. We are going to have to work on the stage fright thing. Thanks once again to all of you that voted for Joj-Gee!!
