Only ten more days till Halloween. Sure wish I could still go trick or treating! At least we "old folks" can still dress up and be someone else for the day. I LOVE doing it!! I am usually a witch...........of course......... but this year I am thinking about being something else, not sure what yet.

Thursday the 25th of September
September is just zipping right along. I don't really notice how fast time is going until I update the website. Before you know it, summer will be back again. I sure am enjoying this fall weather. Cooler nights and warm days. Does anybody have tree's that the leaves are turning fall colors? We don't have too many of those in the desert and I sure do miss them. Might have to take a drive up to Mt. Charleston just to see some.

Sunday the 21rst of September
How is everyone tonight?? I am doing pretty good myself. Getting a lot of swimming in before the end of summer rolls around. The pool is still at about 76 degree's. The dogs say that is perfect for cooling off! Every day around 2:30 pm they start hunting me down to go out in the pool. I swear they know how to tell time.

Thursday the 11th of September
Today is the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I will never ever forget that day. I just could not believe that this was really happening here in America. Hubby and I watched it all unfolding on TV in total disbelief. It was so surreal and horrific. Too many people died a senseless death that day.
Yesterday and today we only hit the nineties. Such a relief after all the heat, and it is cooling down a bit at night to the low seventies. Should be able to start putting back in some long torching days.

Wednesday the 10th of September
Hey everyone! Can you feel Fall in the air???????? I am so glad!! You can actually get up in the morning and go outside without being incinerated. We are just getting to our "good weather". Even the cacti are rejoicing!! We have the most beautiful sunsets also at this time of year, very inspiring to say the least.

Happy Labor Day!
Well today officially marks the end of summer. Let fall begin!! When I lived in rainy Washington, growing up as a kid, I never ever wanted summer to end. Now that I live in the Desert I can not wait for it to end!!! It has been a relentless HOT summer.
We have been watching the hurricane Gustav on CNN and it looks like New Orleans is going to be OK so far!! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for them.

Friday the 22nd of August
I can feel summer starting to wind down here in the desert. I am so glad!! The endless, ceaseless days of the hot sun beaming down on you can get to be old!! I am ready for fall weather big time!
My little Yorkie fur baby, Joj-Gee, got bit by a Brown Recluse Spider on her back. The Vet had to do surgery to remove the bite site, or it would just keep spreading. It was already getting pretty big when he removed it. We just got the stitches out today and she has been OK'ed to go back to swimming. Brown Recluse Spiders are not native here in the desert, but we still have them here and there. Our exterminator sprays for them when he comes out. I am always scared the pups are going to get it by the Scorpions that we have here too. I am so glad that it turned out all OK for her!!

Hi Bead Lovers!! What's shaking in your part of the world????
Thank you to everyone for all the kind e-mails that you have sent concerning my mother's passing. It's been really strange realizing that she is truly gone. Our family will not be the same with out her.
Been busy catching things up here at home since I came back from Washington state. I hope to be posting beads weekly from now on.
Thought there would be a few more Halloween beads for tonight, but I have to follow where the Muse wants to go :0)

Hey all,
Just wanted to let you all know that my Mom passed away this last Sunday morning after a long and hard illness. I have been in Washington state for the last few weeks. I will be staying up there for a little while more taking care of her final things that need to be done with my brother and sister. I will be talking with you all soon.
